One of my FAVORITE movies of all time is “SPANGLISH”, partly for one of the scenes where a heartbroken woman tells her child before making a life changing decision, “You are allowed one tear. So make it a good one!”
All I have left to say about Mike is, he’ll always have a soft place to land with me if he ever needs it. I’m done thinking about it.
I’ve far exceeded my one good tear with the amount of whining I’ve doing lately.
It’s time to start kickin’ ass and takin’ names…starting with my scary body! I’m determined to get back in shape and may track my progress on here. I’m just not quite sure how to go about it without ruining anyone’s day with fatty pics…
Historically I’ve paid little attention to weight, preferring to focus on measurements. We’ll see. All I know is, it’s time to get started. I know I’ve said it before, but this time I intend to follow thru before I end up on a slab somewhere. Yikes!

Start off with some youtube videos – get back in practice 🙂 There are so many of them you’re bound to find something you like! And it’s not as awful as going to the gym as you can be red and sweaty in the comfort of your own home 🙂
Good to see you taking charge!
Thanks! Tired ofbeing a sad sack. Actually, I’m planning to go back to the gym. But the videos are a great idea! I really would lined to track my progress on here, but you know how that goes. .. You can’t unring a bell.
Ha ha, yeah, I know! Still, I might have chickened out of leaving LV if I hadn’t posted it publicly! It’s good motivation to do what you say you will!
And yes, when you start annoying yourself, you know it’s time to do something! Wallowing is good for a little while, then I get mad at myself – and I hate being mad at myself when there are so many more deserving candidates out there 😉
Yay!!! I LOVE THAT! 🙂
You’ve been in my thoughts lately. Been watching cooking shows. Everything is about Octoberfest! Do they celebrate in Germany outside of Munich?
Yep, there’s one in Berlin too and presumably other German cities – though not on such a large scale! The one in Munich scares me a bit – too many people. And it might be hard to get a (ridiculously expensive) beer 😉 I want my beer when I want it 🙂 My mam was saying there’s one in Dublin as well!
Cool! I’m so envious. It sounds wonderful.
